Yeditepe University Cognitive Sciences master's student İlkay Arı was with us at the 24th event of Academy Cognition. In this event, İlkay talked about "Emotion, Body and Social Cognition: The Role of Interoception". In her talk, İlkay talked about the neural infrastructure of interoception and experimental studies that reveal its facilitating function in understanding both our own and others' emotions. After his presentation, a discussion and chat session followed. We would like to thank İlkay and all participants for their participation!

Nevzat Ersoy, a graduate of BoÄŸaziçi University Computer Engineering department, joined with us for the 24th edition of Academy Cognition. Nevzat talked about "Complexity and Cognition" in this event. He talked about the theory of computational complexity, the kolmogorov complexity and complex systems theory, and then he talked about various applications of this theory in the context of computer science and cognition. He concluded his talk with various questions and conversations. We thank Nevzat for his presentation and the participants for their valuable questions!
