İNCİ AYHAN "ART AND THE BRAIN"

Art has an importance in our lives, and everybody thinks about it to some degree. Dr. İnci Ayhan from Boğaziçi University Psychology Department works on how our visual system reacts to a phenomena that is in our lives, and how art is redesigned according to this system, on the basis of Modern Art and following movements. At 20th of February, 2020, she gave us a talk named "Art and the Brain", where she talked about how art affects our mind and visual system and how visual system shapes art. We thank İnci Ayhan, for being our guest and her wonderful talk, AIS, and all of the attendants.

ECENUR ÜNAL "LANGUAGE AND THOUGHT"

We are excited to meet you again in the second event of Open Cognition, which we organize to present the importance of language-thought interaction! This month, we hosted Dr. Ercenur Ünal from Özyeğin University Department of Psychology. In her speech titled "Language and Thought", Ercenur Ünal explained to what extent our native tongue determines our concepts, perceptions, and cognitive processes that form these thoughts while expressing our thoughts through language in our daily communication. In our face-to-face event, we brought together participants from different fields of study and of all ages. See you in a new Open Cognition!
